Multiple positions (including Academic leaders, Outstanding Young Academics and Applicants for Talents Program) are available at the School of Remote Sensing and Information Engineering, Wuhan University, Wuhan, China.

The School was founded in 1956 and has become a world-class institution in education and research in photogrammetry, remote sensing, and geographic information engineering. Thousands of its graduates are leaders in industry, academia, and government. Photogrammetry:

mobile real-time photogrammetry, computer vision, aerospace photogrammetry

Remote sensing:

Quantitative remote sensing, microwave remote sensing, remote sensing: infrared remote sensing, laser remote sensing, hyperspectral remote sensing

Geographic Information Engineering:

Geographic information engineering, network/mobile/Internet GIS, natural/economic/human geography, spatial analysis, etc

Geography National Condition Monitoring:

ecological environment monitoring and analysis, urban change detection and analysis


Positions are as follows:

Academic leaders

Have acquired a doctoral degree in an overseas university
Have more than 3 years overseas research experience
Have published more than 6 influential Journal articles (SCI/ SSCI/ EI)
Host more than 2 state-level projects
Have broad academic vision and innovative idea
Have good team work spirit, organization and management ability Under the age of 45

Outstanding Young Academics

Have a doctorate in well-known colleges and universities
Have overseas research experience in high level academic institutions
Have published more than 4 influential Journal articles (SCI/ SSCI/ EI)
Host at least 1state-level project
Have participated in state-class project
Have good team and cooperation spirit
Under the age of 40

Distinguished researcher

Have obtained a doctoral degree from a renowned overseas university and have more than 2 years overseas research experience
Have obtained a doctoral degree from a Chinese university and have more than 3 years of teaching or research experience overseas.
Have a teaching or research position in a renowned overseas university or research institute.
Have good academic background and potential to be Young Academics Host and have participated in some state-class project
Under the age of 40

Distinguished associate researcher

Under the age of 30 and has acquired a doctoral degree from a renowned overseas university
Under the age of 35 and has 2 years overseas experience as a postdoctoral fellow
Have good academic background and potential to be Young Academics

Applicants are expected to develop independent research programs in addition and complementary to the existing ones. The School will provide appealing start-up package and relocation compensation.
